T SHIRT QUALITY (GSM)

XOXOTEES, XOXO, DESIGNER TEE, GSM ARTICLE, T SHIRT QUALITY

WHAT IS GSM ?
Gram per Square Meter (or GSM) is as the name suggests is the weight of a fabric (and also paper) per square meter. It is often linked to quality and thickness of a T shirt. If you are on a T shirt business you need to think about investing you money in a good GSM Tees since most t shirts sold by e commerce websites are bad quality and lower GSM.

SHOULD GSM VALUE BE HIGHER ?
Most of the tees that you buy online cannot withstand the wear and tear and loose the colors and quality as well, in one or two wash. GSM value need not necessarily be higher since it totally depends on the type of print you do but it is often agreed by industry professionals they need to be at least 160-180. However if you going for collared t shirts it is best to go for 200 GSM or above. There are other factors like quality of the cotton, type of the knit that decide the overall quality of t shirt besides GSM. Lower GSM tees can be used for one time events or festivals where the usage of the t shirt will be for a particular period and people are most likely not to wear it again.

So be wise and check for the GSM while you make your purchase. Good-luck
